This July The Cycling Academy heads to the Alps

Ain Bugey Valromey in the French Alps has been described as the U19 Tour de France. The best teams in the world compete over 5 days for Stage wins, King of the Mountains, Sprints , Best Young Rider, Combativity and the overall Yellow jersey. Former winners include the A-list of world cycling including Mathieu van der Poel and Julian Alaphilippe.

The race covers 493km with 7367m of climbing, including many famous col's. In 2022 The Cycling Academy are the only British team invited to compete, with a squad of 6 young Scottish riders including the current U19 Scottish Junior Road Race Champion.

We are up against World Tour development teams backed by major automotive, retail, energy, financial services, apparel, technology and telecoms brands. In Scotland our riders fund participation with part time jobs, while they study at school and train for up to 20 hours a week.

They all started riding bikes and learning skills in local clubs and parks around Scotland. Some of our riders now coach kids as young as 8 at those same clubs. By the end July they'll have some amazing stories to tell of snow capped mountains and bravery.

If you want to power a sporting legacy with proven links to active travel, healthier lifestyles and successful resilient young people, this is your chance to partner a world class academy. Let's make a little history - Get in touch
